The new York Times published the following article back in 1872 and reports the events which had taken place in Palazzolo on November 21, 1872. An hurricane or tornado had touched down in the town and had destroyed a substantial portion of the town and killed many inhabitants. The account was taken from the Syracuse Gazette.
