Mention the name of Nick Carbone and people are bound to have strong opinions, one way or the other! For 10 years he was the undisputed power king of Hartford and he was never shy in using his power or to face controversies!

He most likely also was ( he is very much alive and well as we write this) the most accomplished political mind of his era and perhaps to ever walk the streets of Hartford! Macchiavelli would have been proud of him!

I am here to document the background of his family, to the right, which he has provided and I am also attaching a few headlines from the Hartford Courant dating back to between 1968 and 1979 which chronicle Nick's rise to power and his departure from the scene ( selections are mine only, no input from anyone)!
