Born in Siracusa in 1941, Sal worked as a mason in Siracusa until 1964, when, following his marriage, the family emigrated to the USA and the Hartford area.

 Here he continued to work as a mason before opening a hardware store on Franklin Ave, store which he operated very successfully for over 27 years. His wife worked for the State of CT for over 18 years.

He and his wife have two children and three grandchildren.

Nato a Siracusa nel 1941, Sal ha lavorato come muratore a Siracusa fino al 1964, quando, dopo il matrimonio, la famiglia emigrò negli Stati Uniti e l'area di Hartford.

  Qui ha continuato a lavorare come muratore prima di aprire un negozio di ferramenta su Franklin Ave, negozio che ha gestito con successo da oltre 27 anni. Sua moglie ha lavorato per lo Stato di CT per oltre 18 anni.

Lui e sua moglie hanno due figli e tre nipoti.
